Commonly known as Greek Oregano and Wild Marjoram, Oregano Essential Oil (Origanum vulgare) presents a middle fragrance note. It features a strong herbaceous, warm, spicy aroma that can ultimately do wonders for your home’s cleanliness and safety.
How to use Oregano Essential Oil:
- Oregano Essential Oil is very aromatic and spicy, somewhat reminiscent of Basil Essential Oil. Simply add Oregano Essential Oil to DIY cleaning products to sanitize surfaces in the home.
- You can also add the oil to blends to help repel insects.
When used in skincare or applied topically, Oregano Essential Oil must be properly diluted as this is a hot oil and can cause skin irritation. This oil blends well with Basil, Bergamot, Cinnamon Bark, Clove Bud, Lemon, Red Mandarin, Orange, and Sandalwood.
Caution: Oregano is a HOT essential oil. Dilute carefully and properly. Oregano Essential Oil is not recommended for use while pregnant or breastfeeding.
